Team Ice Fire is Britain's long distance sled dog racing team who compete in world class racing events. We are based in the Cambrian Mountains in Wales. Welcome to our website which we hope you will enjoy browsing, and finding out what we are about.
Team Ice Fire is owned and run by Nick Evans who has over 25 years experience in owning, training and racing Greenland dogs. Nick has completed expeditions in the Arctic along with spending months in Scandinavia, Europe and North America. He and the team have competed in some high profile races across Europe and continue to build and develop the team which is now running at 21 dogs. Nick and his wife Esther work hard to manage their British based racing kennels, whilst maintaining strong accessible links to the European racing scene.
In 2010 the team have decided to take a year out of competition, and to use the time to bring on the youngsters who will join the more seasoned team members in preparation for a return to long distance racing in 2011.
